Job Description
- Responsible for planning, analyzing, and collecting essential data to determine the costs of business activities
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, services in order to forecast effects on cost
- Analyzes and audits manufacturing costs and prepares costing reports
- Organizes cost data in for controlling purposes
- Makes estimates of new and proposed product costs
- Composes coherent reports on comparable factors that could affect prices & profitability
- Maintains database to ensure well-accounted costing strategies
- Conducts inventory and monitors cycle count program
- Reconciles finished good inventories
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a Bacheelor's Degree in Accounting, CPAs are preferred
- At least 2 years of experience as a Cost Accountant
- Strong analytical and organization skills
- Can work autonomously and with a team
- Proactive and confident in working in a fast paced environment
- Good excel skills
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel
