- Demand Forecasting:
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast future product demand.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand market dynamics and customer needs.
- Regularly update demand plans based on changes in market and business conditions.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply without excessive overstock.
- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile inventory counts.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse departments to align supply with forecasted demand.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Address and resolve any issues related to shortages or excess inventory.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize inventory management systems and tools for tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supply chain performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product launches, promotions, and other initiatives.
- Provide input for strategic decisions related to product lifecycle management.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in inventory levels and demand forecasts.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and handle unexpected changes in demand or supply.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Experience in data analysis and forecasting methods.
