At Shakr, great content is the lynchpin of our marketing. We're now looking for a content marketing manager to take a lead on our content production and organizing our content calendar, making sure to guide writers from initial content ideas, to published blog posts, either on our own blog, or as guest blogs on other domains. You will also be producing your own content, and manage our social channels on Facebook and Twitter.
We're looking for someone who loves to write, who has a knack for being able to organize the most convoluted workflow, and who can take ownership of a crucial part of our marketing stack. As our Content Marketing Manager you will;
- Be accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention. Blog traffic will be your main KPI.
- Be in charge of our social channels, posting daily posts and deliver a consistent brand voice.
- Collaborate across teams/writers to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to met the business objectives.
- Have a brand publisher mindset: create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion.
- Have basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement. Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.
- Editorial calendar and organization workflows must be developed and managed.
- Channel management of digital content hubs and all supporting social channels including email / newsletter distribution. This person must understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why.
- Measurement and optimization of the program will be required on a regular and ongoing basis
- Management of all creative resources including designers, writers, and other agency personnel
- Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand.
- Executive presentations on the program approaches and results will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years experience building brand awareness and trust through content as a writer.
- Have a professional/native English speaking level, with content to prove it.
- Experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience.
- Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
- Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
- Experience with Wordpress, Google analytics, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Project management skills and a good understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads, and sales
