Job Description
The Role: Senior Specialist, Corporate Accounting
The Senior Specialist role will play a key role in supporting the monthly close and estimate process by aggregating required actual data, preparing and distributing reports, updating corporate forecasts and assisting Corporate Accounting Managers (2) with daily accounting and operational support
The Location: Silver City 2 Building, Pasig City
Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Close
- Format monthly actual/estimate files (update tm1 parameters in excel files, save down new version, etc.)
- Run reports for Corporate Accounting Managers to support review of current month expense activity (Toad, Ariba, Beeline, Oracle, Other)
- Research and document expense transactions as requested by Corporate Accounting Managers
- Update and maintain current supporting schedules for key department spend (third-party providers & agencies, software, memberships, etc)
- Prepare monthly journal entries and applicable balance sheet reconciliations
- Update and distribute monthly results on behalf of Corporate Accounting managers
- Prepare other monthly reports as required
Accounting & Operational Support
- Assist in processing manual invoices
- Assist with account coding inquiries from corporate departments
- Assist corporate departments with basic invoice or procurement questions, and/or connecting these team members to a BSC resource for resolution
- Assist in preparing Ariba requisitions
- Assist Corporate Accounting Managers with vendor research
Estimate Process
- Key estimate updates into tm1 for corporate departments as directed by Corporate Account Managers
Minimum Qualifications
- Accounting or Finance degree required
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- Very well organized and detail oriented
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of Oracle or other similar financial system strongly preferred
- Knowledge of foreign currency transactions
- Highly proficient with Excel required
