Senior Project Manager | Software Development  

The position offers experienced Project Manager the opportunity to lead the analysis, planning, and execution of all primary projects for Accounting, Human Resources, and Management Projects. Mandatory to the role is managing the project parameters of budget, scope, and schedule, plus people management to cultivate a motivating and productive working environment.

Some of the responsibilties of the Senior Project Manager are as follows:

1. Project-related Responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying the needed resources, talent, and number of people for completing a project within the budget
• Accountable for the management of all requirements in the delivery of a quality application within agreed time and cost plans
• Work with the Product Manager to create a budget and project plan for the Technical Design, Development, Testing, and Support efforts
• Build realistic time estimates, work plans, and schedules that reflect budget, project milestones, and staffing
• Plan and implement all actions required to deploy the application, both technically and functionally
• Monitor key project metrics such as billable utilization, defect statistics, actuals vs. estimates variances
• Perform quality control all throughout the project to maintain the expected standards
• Communicate team status, task accomplishment, and direction to the client and project key stakeholders

2. Team-related Responsibilties

• Oversee and manage day-to-day activities of a project team
• Assist in facilitating and leading project meetings
• Familiarize the team with the customer’s needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques, and tools to support task performance
• Monitor the team’s work time, output, and timesheets on a regular basis
• Manage staff performance to obtain desired performance level
• Foster a culture of accountability and ownership with the project team

3. Customer-oriented Responsibilities

• Assure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and various standards
• Coordinate and participate in customer and stakeholder’s meetings to discuss project impediments, needed resources or issues/delays in completing the task
• Keep the Project Key Stakeholders informed of task accomplishment, issues, and status

4. Other Tasks/Duties

• Perform quality control by testing and reviewing the quality of the features, functionalities, and project artefacts, and project files ongoing, maintained or due for release
• Understand and document business requirements and translate them into functional documents that can be understood by end users, technical, creative, product, and business stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree on IT related course (Computer Science, Programming, Engineering, Information Systems) or business course
• Three (3) years solid work experience as Project Manager/Leadership role handling projects within software development in Agile methodology
• At least five (5) years of solid career as a programmer/tester
• Experience handling Accounting Project is a big advantage (will be prioritized)
• Experience in developing projects from scratch and handling full project lifecycle
• Experience in handling delivery teams in the design, development, and testing phases
• Certification in project management is a plus (Certified Scrum Master or PMP Certification)
• Must have experience putting together a team custom fit for the project
• Experienced in dealing with internal and external clients on complex project engagement
• Wide experience in several software development technologies/software used in software development and project management software or tools

Technical and Soft Skills:
