Job Description
- Assist the BCU Head in the technical as well as administrative function/supervision of the facility.
- Performs the following administrative functions:
- Prepare weekly schedule.
- Accomplish report as needed.
- Comply and maintain different records needed:
- Equipment maintenance
- Supplies
- Materials
- Records/Files
- Operate, check, and maintain in good condition all laboratory equipment and apparatus.
- Prepare requisition of reagents, equipment, and other laboratory needs.
- Perform the following technical duties:
- Proper donor screening and preparation.
- Blood collection.
- Procedures for handling and storage and transport of blood products
- Process Blood Unit and Blood Samples.
- Prepare and transport of blood sample for testing to NHQ.
- Logbook entry.
- Perform QG programs compliance.
- Record and monitor test results and blood supply stocks.
- Supervise and countercheck release of blood products.
- Maintain BCU/BS cleanliness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology.
- PRC registered with valid professional license.
- At least 1 year relevant experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
