Events and Partnership Lead  

Job Overview

We are looking for a competent Events and Partnership Lead to oversee and organize events and partnerships that will make an impact to our community. You’ll ensure events are successful, quality and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.

We’re looking for an energetic and customer-focused Events & Partnership Lead, to help develop and implement the local events growth strategy of Penbrothers.

Responsibilities

• Identify key events and partnership opportunities
• Manage inbound leads and create a pipeline of outbound activities to grow our list of event partnerships
• Drive event strategy and planning within key segments - including logistics, staffing, budget and success metrics
• Act as an outward-facing ambassador of Penbrothers community
• Media and Community partnership knowledge
• Negotiate partnership and deal terms and manage partners and implementation efforts
• Ensure that revenue targets are met
• Create rewards program design, offerings and marketing strategy for awareness
• Provide hands-on Support at key events when required and build a long term strategy for Penbrothers being able to offer onsite support via partnerships

• Proficient in Event Planning
• Excellent upselling skills with impressive telephone manner and customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to liaise in a professional manner with all levels of staff/management and external contacts
• Willing to work evenings and weekends if there are events
• Preferably with banquet and/or events experience
• Knowledge of events management best practice, tools and opportunities
• Creativity - ability to think from different perspectives in different situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Has established contacts with corporate, and startup as well as dining, travel,
• retail, venue and lifestyle categories

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree is preferred
• Startup Industry knowledge and have an effective understanding of technology
• Experience presenting to diverse audiences
