Job Description
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, workflow, and deliverables
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software design
- Formulate program specification and basic prototype
- Test code periodically to ensure it produces and desirable results and perform debugging when necessary
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 7 years of software development experience in PHP, Python, javascript, CSS, HTML
- Experience working with web application development, mobile application development, machine learning, information retrieval, developing large software systems, and security software development
- Proficient communication and written skills in English
- Writes highly reliable and reusable application code
- Strong knowledge on Object Oriented Programming or MVC design pattern and frameworks (Laravel is a big advantage)
- Must be well versed with UnitTest
- Experience in real time application development such as socket.io / node.js
- Experience with Server Configuration and Provisioning
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Experience with Continuous Integration, TDD, Agile and other delivery practices
- Understanding of best practices for creating RESTful APIs
Preferred qualifications
- 10 years of software development experience, preferably in a lead position
Extensive experience with PHP, Python, CSS, Javascript and data/web scraping - Interest and ability to learn other coding languages and practices
