Procurement Officer  

A. Does (The tasks / responsibilities that the role performs to address requirements in Key Result Areas)

• Sources New Suppliers and Supplies
• Oversees accreditation endorsement from all Departments
• Reviews prices and product specifications from various suppliers
• Partner with business vertical managers and administrative officers to define needed goods/service requirements from new and renewing vendors
• Manage outward communication to vendors to facilitate understanding and awareness of organizational strategic direction, changes and challenges
• Lead vendor analysis to include ROI, while maintaining an in depth understanding of business drivers across stakeholders, as well as vendors’ offerings, limitations and operations
• ‪Serve as primary liaison to vendors, pre and post contract
• Effectively manage service provider relationships from inception, focusing on activities related to sourcing, contracting, and performance
• Periodically evaluate the long term health of relationships and services supplied, requesting and obtaining necessary adjustments and improvements
• Host forums with vendor representatives possessing decision-making authority‬ for updates on company offerings
• Lead contract negotiations working closely with legal and other applicable shared services areas
• Collates and updates information on the supplier database
• Coordinates and monitors deployment team shipments; trade marketing executions; office management requirements; and tech purchases
• Develops sources of supply (market list) and obtains information from vendors concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current
• Solicits quotations and proposals, conducts bid evaluations, evaluates costs, negotiates optimum delivery schedules and ensures the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, and standard terms and conditions
• Serve as the primary point of contact for disputes or dissatisfaction regarding vendor performance‬
• Assists in the administration of contracts to suppliers
• Ensure Vendor Management Team is mitigating, monitoring and managing vendor risks including financial viability, information security, business continuity and corporate and regulatory compliance
• ‪Report and disseminate monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports.‬
• Perform other ad-hoc functions that may be assigned

• A graduate of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably Business-related courses
• At least 2 year of experience in purchasing/logistics
