Job Description
- Responsible for the design and development of new product capabilities and architectural enhancements in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Assist the Lead architect in defining the direction of product architecture , technology, processes and tools
- Keep abreast of technology standards and industry’s best practices. Analyze industry technology trends and propose execution plans for absorbing relevant ones into product development
- Provide technical support to the teams through frequent informational sessions
- Troubleshoots and resolve technical issues
- Optimize code performance/maintainability.
- Diagnose the cause systems issues as reported by the stakeholders and propose solutions
- Setup and improve an integration test framework
- Establish coding practices and processes and ensure all product developments are in compliance with them
- Facilitate code reviews. Ensures high quality production deliveries
- Operate in an advisory role by guiding software engineers to implement architectural and system enhancements on an on going basis. Assist and guide them achieving high quality results.
- Assist in creation of system and coding documentation.
- Refine Architectural backlog based on lead architect input and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three years in architecture and development of JAVA web applications.
- Experience in commercial software life cycle management.
- Strong understanding of JEE Architecture and design patterns
- Proficient in developing applications using Spring and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
- Proficient in developing web user interfaces using frameworks such as Struts , ReactJS, Angular, Spring MVC , Ajax, jQuery, or GWT.
- Experience with one or more of the build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Docker, and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab.
- Strong experience in designing database, writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performances on relational databases such as SQL server.
- Experience in Scrum/XP software development methodologies
- Experience in JIRA is a plus
- Experience in Cloud computing is a plus.
- Willing to work at Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
