Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Mentor the Engineering Team
- Possess the technical execution of multiple projects (mainly WordPress)
- Assess, plan and estimates development (mainly WordPress)
- Hotfixes (fixing difficult to reproduce bugs, helping in advanced implementations)
Typical Work Day:
- Merge Requests and code reviews (via GIT)
- Plan and estimates development
- Helping members of the engineering team
- Maintain a high level of code quality
- Do some coding
Our Development Stack and How we work:
- We keep our code in GitLab (like GitHub but cooler)
- CI/CD – our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment is handled by Jenkins so once you push the code, our server updates it automagically
- We host our solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Dockers and bare metal if needed
- Quick daily calls (Dailies) help us to make sure every Team Member knows what his Team is working on
- Our work is divided into Sprints (i.e. Agile approach)
- Kanban boards are where we keep track of our progress (via Active Collab online ticketing system)
- Codes you create is reviewed and commented by a Senior Developer to make sure it meets our standards. Don’t worry if you need to change something – that’s how we all learn to be better developers
- Every developer has a mentor which makes sure that you are never alone when you’re stuck with a problem
Minimum Qualifications
Required skills/Qualifications:
- ·At least 5+ years of experience in WordPress, hooks and filters concepts.
- Good knowledge of WordPress Hierarchy structure
- Must be well versed with PHP, HTML, CSS, MYSQL, JavaScript, jQuery (5+ years of experience documented in portfolio).
- Must have the ability to create own themes based on requirements from HTML scratch
- Efficient and knowledgeable in customization of plugins, themes, custom post types, taxonomies, custom fields.
- This is a mid-shift and office-based work
