Job Description
The Marketing Officer is responsible for the following:
Sales
- Know the sales turnover per product and per dealer.
- Coordinate with Sales on a day-to-day basis to ensure product placement and movement at each and every account / outlet.
- Conduct periodic dealer visit to provide product orientation, gather information, and brand performance especially versus competition.
- Thresh out any problems the dealer may be encountering in terms of timeliness of deliveries, merchandising, promotions, etc.
- Make the necessary recommendations in order to improve the business.
- Review and monitor the performance of the sales by means of generating monthly sales and marketing report.
Market Share
- Know the market share of the brand at any given time.
- In order to determine brand shares, he / she should be able to gather information from sources such as:
- Dealer’s comments and report
- Research surveys
- Trade associations
- In order to determine brand shares, he / she should be able to gather information from sources such as:
- Provide recommendations on how to defend market share and continue to monitor all competitive programs and activities.
Inventory
- Assist Brand Manager in monitoring the inventory (warehouse) on a daily basis.
- He/she should be able to manage the inventory versus demand per category, making immediate actions to ensure orders are served.
- Establish a PSI (purchase, sales, and inventory) report for the guidance of the brand’s ordering process.
- Observe the lead times for ordering strictly in the absence of the Brand Manager. Unable to do so will lead to delay shipments and lost sales opportunities.
- Monitor the arrival of all pending shipments.
Advertising
- Assist in creating brand positioning.
- Assist in monitoring ad spending on a monthly basis to be able to efficiently monitor the brand’s expenditure.
Activation and Promotions
- Assist in formulating, overseeing, and evaluating all types of activations and promotions
- Consumer, trade, and salesman-directed.
- Coordinate with the person concerned to ensure that all details pertinent to the activation and promotions are properly implemented.
Merchandising
- Assists in evaluating and planning merchandising standard for the brand in order to have a uniform or thematic look.
Marketing Services
- Closely coordinate the marketing services group to be able to monitor and evaluate the following:
- Promodizer’s Performance
- Promotional Activities
- Merchandising Standards
- Exhibit and Demonstration Requirements
- Consumer / Customer Feedback
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferably 21-35 years old.
- Graduate of a 4-year business course.
- At least 2 years of Marketing experience in the same or related industry.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
