Food Runner | 5 Star Hotel - Makati | LHH  

JOB SUMMARY : Helps the wait staff and bartenders improve the dining experience for guests. They play a crucial part in a restaurant, performing a range of duties including assisting guests with orders, taking feedback, and preparing table set-ups.

OPERATIONAL DUTIES

• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
• Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
• Accurately explain food orders to chefs, with specific attention to allergies and special requests
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately
• Serve welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres, upon guests’ arrival
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
• Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
• Uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles
• Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)

Education : At least Highschool diploma / Vocational diploma / Short Course Certificate or College graduate in BS HRM or equivalent
Work : Must have at least 2 years of experience in a Branded Hotel or Restaurant
Pre-requisites : Outstanding communication and people skills; ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment; superb multitasking skills; available to work different hours including weekends, days and nights

Location : Willing to be assigned in Makati
