Job Description
Assists in the managing and directing of the day–to–day operations of all Housekeeping, Linen and Uniform functions. Supervises and coordinates activities of Room Attendants, Linen Attendants, Housemen, Uniform Staffs, Public Area Staffs and Supervisors including the development of the Team Members within the group so to provide an exceptional experience for our Guests.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping as identified by the hotel brand standards
2. Perform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper
• Public areas – Checks at random every four (4) hour and prepares specific schedules
• Guestrooms – Spot checks 10 guestrooms per day, 5 vacant and cleaned, 5 occupied
• Linens – Randomly check all linens daily
• Heart-of-the-house areas – Randomly check daily and prepare weekly and monthly cleaning schedules for Housekeeping Supervisors
3. Ensure communication meetings are conducted
4. Assist the Executive Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
5. Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and patrons’ complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
6. Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well-managed schedules
7. Control all expenditures relating to Housekeeping, including manpower count, chemicals, and all cleaning supplies and equipment
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management; Tourism, or any related course
Work: Must have at least (2-3) years of experience with Supervisory or Management in Housekeeping Operations
Pre-requisites: Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills, Proficiency, at a basic level, with computers and Microsoft Office; Knowledge of cleaning standards, cleaning chemicals and equipment and materials as necessary
Location: Willing to be assigned in DAVAO
