Kumu is looking for a new Data Engineer who will extract, transform, and load data from various sources and store them in our data warehouses.
Here's what a Data Engineer would do on a daily basis:
- Maintain existing data warehouse
- Build pipelines to migrate data into the data warehouse.
- Automate updating of data updates.
- Integrate data warehouses with external data sources.
- Clean & transform data into the actionable forms.
- Assist in planning out data models for new data sources
- Optimize data ETL processes.
Minimum Qualifications
As a Data Engineer, it would be awesome if you have:
- Basic understanding of business metrics for app analytics
- Strong communication skills to be able to coordinate between various stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of architecture / pipeline diagrams and documentation
- Strong preferences or familiarity working with these types of data:
- Event streaming
- Image / Video live streaming
- Transactional
- ECommerce
- Strong programming knowledge in Python for developing ETL components
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and table transformations
- Cloud Platform Experiences
- Experience in working with cloud infrastructure - AWS or GCP
- Storage services (S3, GCS)
- Databases Services - SQL & NoSQL (RDS, DynamoDB, BigQuery, etc.)
- Serverless Compute Functions (Lambda, Cloud Functions)
