Job Description

Context and Scope:

The accountant will execute the company’s book keeping requirements and statutory fillings, maintain outstanding financial records and will support to the Executive Director in carrying out acquittals as required by the Investing in Women grant.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with Annual audits
  2. Prepare payroll for the employees.
  3. Ensure that MAIN remains tax compliant.
  4. Preparing budgets and other financial forecasts.
  5. Prepare monthly trial balance, balance sheet and statement of income.
  6. Prepare and file tax payments and returns (monthly and / or quarterly).
  7. Monitor, manage and reconcile all accounts payable activation and wire transactions.
  8. Enhance and streamline the company’s accounting processes.
  9. Keep appropriate accounting records needed by the management, including recording, collecting, compiling, evaluating and analyzing the company’s financial transactions and data.
  10. Prepare all necessary documents needed by auditor
  11. Maintain the bank accounts of MAIN and prepare expense reports for each
  12. Handle the scheduled acquittal process and reports from Investing in Women grant liquidation (Summary, Expense vs Budget, Check and Balance (CB) List, P&L reflows)
  13. Provide general support to the Executive Director and perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to helping and provide manpower in MAIN’s various upcoming events

Minimum Qualifications

Competencies

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • CPA Board Exam Passer preferred, Under-board Accountants are also welcome to apply.
  • With at least three (3) years of work experience.
  • Can ensure prompt and accurate compliance to tax and BIR requirement.
  • Has strong analytics and planning skills.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be Computer-literate, with expertise in Google Docs, Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Possesses Energy and Drive to Work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, honest, and effective
