Software Team Lead (Front End)  

The Team Lead assumes responsibility for the delivery of timely and quality output from the frontend development team. He also serves as a mentor to the junior members of the team, providing guidance and giving feedback when needed.

• Manage issues, plan sprints, and distribute tasks within software team.
• Improve team performance based on data that the team can put to use.
• Work closely and communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools which may make the development process more efficient.
• Experiment with using automating the team’s repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
• Design and implement and continually review and adjust an agile team workflow that best serves client requirements.
• Evaluate and give feedback on each team member’s performance.

Explore and propose new web technologies that will help improve the client websites’ user experience, e.g. Accelerated Mobile Pages and Progressive Web Apps

• With a minimum of 5 years experience in front end development.
• Expertise in HTML 5, CSS 3 and client-side scripting (Javascript) and leading Javascript frameworks such as jQuery and libraries such as Underscore and React. Knowledge of EcmaScript 6 is a plus.
• With solid understanding of back-end/server-side programming.
• With excellent communication skills.
• With at least 2 years experience leading a team of developers
• With solid understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
• Proficient understanding of Git
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• With experience working in a highly iterative and agile team environment.
