Job Description
The Front-End Developer should have experience in HTML and CSS. Tasks include
creating reusable, robust and mobile responsive templates/codes, optimizing application
for maximum speed scalability, maintaining and improving company and client websites
and working closely with the integration team in ensuring the quality of the products.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To implement responsible web design principles to ensure that the website renders well across multiple platforms
- To build reusable codes for future use
- To optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- To maintain and improve website
- To maintain organization of front-end assets
- To collaborate with web designers in ensuring overall UI/UX experience is good for end users
- To be up to date with UI/UX trends for team improvement
- To ensure that the application adheres to SEO principles
- To perform all other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree on Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Has at least 3 years experience with HTML/CSS
- Has experience in converting PSDs to live websites or at least know how to use Photoshop
- Has good understanding of Javascript and some of its useful frameworks/libraries especially JQuery
- Has proficiency with UX principles
- Has good understanding of layout aesthetics
- Has basic knowledge of CSS pre-processing platforms such as LESS and SASS
- Has basic knowledge of image authoring tools for cropping, resizing, and/or performing small adjustments to images
- Can implement responsive layouts for multiple media queries
- Has proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and possible solutions/work around
- Has keen eye for details
- Has good understanding of SEO principles
- Has familiarity with debugging tools and browser testing
- Has familiarity with content management systems
- Has proficient understanding of code versioning tools (GIT, Sourcetree)
- Has flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
- Has the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Comfortable in expressing thoughts and opinions
- Open to giving and receiving constructive criticisms
