Job Description

  • Initiates, coordinates and facilitates the company’s development of short, medium and long term plans thru the conduct of the annual planning activity and regular review of the corporate strategy in terms of the Vision, Mission and the overall corporate direction.
  • Identifies the strategic issues and challenges and provide high level strategic, planning and policy advice to Executive Committee and Board of Directors on all matters affecting the future business operations, capacity and sustainability
  • Assists the Executive Management in executing approved corporate strategies by monitoring the implementation of divisional/departmental plans
  • Provides up-to-date research to the leadership of the company in terms of strategic trends in the political, economic, social and technological environments that may affect the company’s business operations.
  • Conducts industry trend analysis by analyzing changes within the industry which includes but not limited to researching new entrants, new alliances, products, services, and changes to remittance channels.
  • Initiates market and customer research to determine changing customer needs and expectations and track competitor strategies
  • Ensures that organization’s systems, structure and culture are all aligned to the organization’s strategic plan and values.
  • Works closely with various division heads to ensure that established plans at the divisional and department levels are implemented
  • Checks for aspects of the strategy that are being neglected as this may fall between divisions and turn this into projects that cut across different divisions
  • Oversees the annual conduct and implementation of the budgetary activity as it relates to the approved plans
  • Ensures regular compliance to all regulatory requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE)
  • Other tasks as maybe assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree, in Business Administration, Economics or other related fields; MBA or Masters degree in Business is preferred
  • At least 10 years experience in corporate and strategic planning in a managerial capacity
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to translate corporate vision into strategic initiatives and corporate plans
  • Excellent communication skills capable of influencing key decision makers
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Skilled in the conduct of researches and analyzing complex operational data
  • Strong project management skills and thorough understanding of all phases of research project execution, from methodology selection to presentation deliverable.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent coordination and negotiations skills
