Fund Accounting Specialist | Work From Home  

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our client's esteemed finance team. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting for our investment funds. Your expertise will be vital in managing fund transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily fund accounting activities, including NAV calculations, cash and position reconciliations, and expense accruals
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of fund investments, redemptions, and capital calls
• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Conduct periodic reviews and testing of fund accounting processes and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices
• Assist in the coordination of annual audits and tax filings
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards that may impact fund accounting practices

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant experience in fund accounting or investment accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, specifically related to investment funds
• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Advent Geneva or similar systems
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA or CFA designation is preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for investment funds is a plus
• Must be willing to work partial US-based hours (details will be provided and may still change)
