Red Hat Trainer  

POSITION PURPOSE / JOB SUMMARY

The Red Hat Trainer is responsible for the over-all training business of the company. The Red Hat Trainer works hand in hand with the Training Account Manager to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Red Hat Trainer’s job also includes ensuring that the training business company’s overall strategy and goals.

TECHNICAL DUTIES:

• Facilitate discussions with associates, managers, and leaders to scope training needs and demand
• Coordinate course schedule, manage course enrollments, prepare virtual learning environments, send welcome emails, and respond to student questions
• Deliver instructor office hour sessions for learning subscribers using Live Chat or scheduled web conferences
• Develops strategic objectives and implements plans for the training business that are aligned with the region's strategic initiatives.
• Propose an overall budget to ensure success of the training business.
• Creates and/or collaborates to produce content for product training sessions for internal team members and external customers
• Engage the market (POCO) through different marketing strategies
• Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
• For all client and principal agreements, requests and discussion notes and details, MUST ensure FORMAL COMMUNICATION and ALIGNMENT with all departments concerned.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of any 4-year course or college degree, preferably BSIT, BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering or any IT-related courses
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in any business-related courses
• Industry standard certifications

SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the enterprise IT industry
• Ability to design, create, and deliver technical training content into traditional and virtual classroom and eLearning modalities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Premium customer service skills and experience working in a customer-focused role
• Ability to work across multiple time zones
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and cross-functional relationship building skills
• Command-line expertise of Linux
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification along with 2 additional Red Hat certifications; Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) is a plus
• Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration certifications, as well as experience administering Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP), are a plus
• Experience delivering technical training in a traditional or virtual classroom
• Experience with shell scripting or Java programming is a plus
• A good working knowledge on other IT fields such as networking, cloud platforms and DevOps
• Additional Certifications from other IT vendor (Cisco and Microsoft) is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the enterprise IT industry
• Must have at least 3-5 years solid work experience as a trainer.
• Must have 2-3 business analysis, product support and implementation services experience
