Job Description

The Area Manager is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day supervision of all outlets/stores assigned to him/her, including sales, staff, stocks, and resources management.

His/her role is to run all retail stores assigned to him/her successfully. Working in the field, he/she is in constant communication with their customers, supervisors, and service crews. He/she ensures his/her staff gives great customer service while dealing with the financial side of the store and people management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff
  • Controlling budgets specifically expenses
  • Maintaining statistical and financial records
  • Recommending plans to increase sales
  • Promoting and marketing the business
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control
  • Maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Coordinating with operations department for promotional materials and displays
  • Coordinating activities with the other departments to facilitate action items
