Job Description
Recruitment and Retention
- Manages the recruitment process using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
- Reviews the resumes for all job candidates and interviews and conducts prescreening interviews.
- Conducts in performing reference and background checks for potential employees
- Assists managers with the selection and contracting of external training programs and consultants.
- Efficiently and effectively fill open positions through post openings in online venues, newspaper classifieds, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues within company overhead budget
- Assists the resigned employee from its accountabilities and liabilities through the company clearance policy
- Endorses resigned employee to finance for final pay
Administrative Duties and Record-Keeping
- Prepares and issues new employee orientation packages and necessary office supplies.
- Maintains inventory of all assets/office supplies and equipment assigned to new employees
- Maintains all pertinent applicant and manpower data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Consolidates and Maintains employee records via 201 filing
- Presents benefits packages
- Creates job descriptions.
- Creates contacts and rejection letters within the industry
- Prepares exit clearance form to resigned employee
- Perform other special projects as assigned.
Employee Relations
- Assists with the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
- Helps to monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
- Assists with the implementation of company safety and health programs.
- Assists with the development of Human Resources policies for the company with regards to employee relations
Minimum Qualifications
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Writes clearly and informatively (email, memos, letters, reports)
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
- Skills in database management and record keeping.
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
- Can process and maintain recordkeeping or filling systems.
- Sets and achieves challenging goals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Meets challenges with resourcefulness
- Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
- Can use Microsoft Office.
