Job Description

As an engineer, you will be required to work on both Project and Support Based work as required with special attention to maintaining Service and Incident requests via the ITSM too in accordance with our SLA’s. As an engineer, you will have a direct relationship with the End User and Reseller and need to act professionally at all times.

  • Receive and monitor email service requests from UC Service
  • Maintain Accurate Timesheets on a daily basis
  • Be well versed in Cisco, Microsoft, Networking and willing to continually improve knowledge and ability
  • Work on all Allocated Maintenance, Ad-hoc and Managed Service Tickets via ConnectWise.
  • Ensure all documentation completed meets company standard
  • Liaise with Customers, Resellers and Vendors when required to resolve all service and/or Project Tickets
  • Maintain Certification levels with Vendor’s aligned with the direction of Ethan Group
  • Proactively monitor and action unallocated Service tickets where required
  • Be flexible with Working hours where required to suit Australian requirements
  • Should be dressed appropriately at all times in anticipation of attending site
  • Work as a team member and backup or assist other engineers where required.
  • Takes ownership of assigned Project and Service Tickets and immediately escalated to the UC Service, Service Delivery or UC Manger where required
  • Attend customer’s sites and team meetings as required.
  • Accept guidance and mentoring from team members in order to up skill product knowledge as required

Minimum Qualifications

Non-Technical Skills

  • Professional Communication skills (Written and Verbal)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with Cisco
  • Performance under pressure
  • Interpersonal communication skills Flexible approach to teamwork
  • Accuracy & attention to detail
  • Reliable in presence & punctuality
  • Professional telephone technique
  • Adherence to Ethan Group Standards of Business Conduct.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience
  • Microsoft Windows 200X and 201X experience
  • Microsoft XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10 experience
  • Certified in CCNA Routing + Switching and CCNA Voice
  • Certifications for CCNP Preferred
  • Experience with Cisco UC portfolio with special focus on Call Manager, IM&P, Unity, Telepresence Server, TMS, and VCS.
  • Experience with Cisco Webex Meeting suite, Webex Teams and Control Hub
  • Experience with Cisco BE6K and BE7K Servers
  • Experience with Call Manager Express and SRST Technology.
  • Advanced Networking Layer 2 and 3 knowledge
