Department of Science and Technology Region X

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is the government agency mandated to provide central leadership, direction and coordination of scientific and technological efforts and ensure that results therefrom are geared and utilized in areas of maximum economic and social benefits for the people.

DOST-X is the regional office that implements the mandates,policies, programs and projects of the Department in Northern Mindanao. It's office is in J.V. Serina Street, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City and it has Provincial Science and Technology Centers in the five (5) provinces of Region X. Its major activities are in technology transfer and commercialization, implement deployment or field testing of developed technologies, consultancy, training, testing and calibration services, scholarship, S&T advocacy and promotion and R&D consortia operation.

DOST's core values are: solidarity, innovation, good governance and excellence. Its vision is to be an "excellent provider of new knowldege and useful innovations, comtement human resources and quality S&T services that upliftthe socio-economic well being of the Filipinopeople and ensure sustainability for future generations.

DOST-X maintains certification to ISO 9001 Quality Management System and accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 for its testing laboratories.
