ServiceNow Developer  

• Create ServiceNow workflows to automate repetitious tasks that are manually performed by involved team members.
• Develop ServiceNow reports to assist the process and configuration management workflows.
• Work with multiple business owners to move forward development and enhancements around the core ITSM applications including incident, change, and request in a Domain separated instance of ServiceNow.
• Support and enhance existing Customer Portals using ServiceNow CMS functionality including Jelly Script, UI Macros, custom Script including roles.
• Direct, analyse, and prepare recommended changes in development, maintenance, and system standards having critical and solution-wide impacts.
• Configure the ServiceNow solution to meet identified business requirements, process guides, and functional requirements.
• Ensure that ServiceNow standard practices are utilised for all configuration and customisation.
• Provide insight and expertise into the ServiceNow configuration based on previous work experiences and education.
• Troubleshoot any errors found in the ServiceNow configuration.
• Consume functional requirements and provide high level estimates for configuration/customisation.
• Create technical documentation to support client handovers.
• Support the testing of ServiceNow development.

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of:
  • Relevant professional experience with ServiceNow and a strong architectural understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Development and administration of ServiceNow and a strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practice.
• At least 4 years of:
  • JavaScript experience
  • JellyScript experience
• Proficient in all areas of ServiceNow development and configuration including but not limited to Business Rules, ACLs, Domain Separation, Script Includes, UI Scripts, Client Scripts, UI Pages, UI Macros, and UI Policies.
• Proficient in the development of web services (and the associated security patterns) including but not limited to Json, SOAP, and XML.
• Participation in the full software development life cycle:
  • Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Training, and Operational Support.
• High level interpersonal skills in order to collaboratively work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
• Ability to understand business needs and how business systems can support those needs.
• Self-motivated, can work independently or as part of a team, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Detailed understanding of ITIL framework.

Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist OR ServiceNow Certified Application Developer OR ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
