Job Description
- Receives Purchase Requisitions (PRs) submitted by requisitioning departments; Ensures PRs received properly filled out (e.g. contains the correct purpose/expense classifications and charge to department, reference the appropriate management within 24 hours before processing;
- Liases/discusses directly with requisitioned are clear and well-understood. Directly responsible for contacting the third-party pre-qualified supplier for items to be purchased; Secures quotation details.
- Directly negotiates with suppliers to secure the best commercial deal in terms of price, delivery terms/conditions
- Prepares a canvass sheet containing comparative quotations from at least three (3) qualified supplier
- Submits the approved PR and associated canvass sheet to the Purchasing Manager/GM for review and endorsement, and to the appropriate division manager for review and approval/ selection of supplier of quotation
- Upon approval for the purchase, discusses and turn-over directly the required documents to the Purchasing Admin Assist
Minimum Qualifications
- College graduate; preferably Engineering courses
- Preferably with several years or prior relevant work experience
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired
- Honest ; Of high integrity and of good moral character
