Job Description
- Responsible for creating and improving AFO TMG IT application systems and for incorporating new technology as required. Evaluate and recommend improvements in IT platforms, methods, processes, automation technology for future IT developments.
- Analyze current IT systems, tools, and processes, and identify improvements
- Design, code and test software that will integrate/interface various systems and applications to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other application systems
- Investigating, recommending and implementing new computer systems
- Training IT team members and users, and provide ongoing systems support
- Manage complex projects from project initiation until project roll-out
- Troubleshoot faults and making repairs as necessary
- Plan out and drive systems or technology road map for supported or maintained systems
- Make use of mainstream or emerging technologies to enhance and improve existing systems
- Maintain system availability based on defined targets
- Continuously measure system performance and initiate projects or activities to drive improvements
- Set goals and periodic appraisal of performance of team members
- Enforces Code of Business Ethics and Global IT Policy within the team; provide correction and disciplinary action as necessary
- Ensure that the company’s commitment on environmental management, health and safety is observed and performed
- Be aware of the company’s quality and environmental policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology
- Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software application systems
- At least 8 years of solid professional programming experience in web development, MVC framework development or object-oriented programming.
- At least 2 years as a manager or supervisor of a software development team
- Experience in using different software development methodologies
- Experience in using widely-used database platforms (eg. Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL)
- Working knowledge of JAVA, VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET or PHP
- Systems development in Windows and Unix environments
- Creative, with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong project management skills with effective focus on results delivery
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Experience in developing systems in a Semiconductor company
