Job Description
The Tax and Compliance Officer is directly responsible for the BIR audit and preparation of SEC and BSP reportorial requirements in coordination with the Finance team.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of LGU, SEC, BIR and BSP reports by implementing control procedures to minimize erroneous and delayed reporting.
- Review and evaluate compliance to all tax-related transactions and processes, ensuring that the company achieves 100% tax compliance for all company operations.
- Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise.
- Review all commercial contracts for appropriate tax application.
- Overall In-charge of handing external audit including preparation of draft financial statements.
- Lead the coordination with and provide the requirement of BIR and or tax consultants for ongoing tax audit and other tax-related work.
- Perform duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant educational qualifications, a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy
- Must be a CPA
- With at least 3 years of work experience in handling external audit including BIR audit
- Experience in banking or investments industry, with working knowledge of asset management products is a huge advantage
