Job Description

  • Provides messenger services to the Head Office including delivery and pick-up of documents, bank errands, submission of HR requirements such as government mandates benefits (SSS, PhilHealth and HDMF) and taxes, among others;
  • Assists in photocopying documents, particularly Administration, Human Resources, and Finance files;
  • Assists in conducting monthly inventory of all supplies and equipment in the Head Office;
  • Assists the Administration and Procurement Teams in:
    1. Identifying possible suppliers;
    2. Maintaining contact with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods;
    3. Receiving shipments and ensure the items’ quality and quantity;
    4. Ensuring all supplies and equipment are accompanied by appropriate paperwork, packed and stowed away safely and securely;
    5. Interacting with third party logistics service providers;
    6. Reviewing freight cost and documentation;
    7. Conducting safety procedures for outbound shipment vehicle;
  • Responsible for the safe use of the vehicle assigned to him;
    1. Reports faults, maintenance needs and incidents/accidents to the Administrative Officer;
    2. Ensures all equipment allocated to the vehicle is complete and in good working condition, including spare tires and communication equipment (radios, satellite phones, etc.) before undertaking any journey;
    3. Maintains accurate mileage logs for each trip taken;
    4. Does safety checks and maintain vehicles in safe and clean operating condition, including washing of vehicles.
    5. Fuels vehicles, checks oil, transmission fluid, and coolant levels, and checks air pressure in tires;
    6. Reports all vehicle safety problems and accidents promptly;
    7. Does general maintenance service including but not limited to changing oil, changing transmission fluids, tune-ups, change tires and brakes.
    8. Repairs vehicles;
  • Undertakes journeys that are authorized by the appropriate managers;
    1. Abides by all driving rules and transport policies;
    2. Abides by all vehicle use policies and systems of ACCORD;
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the office in Quezon City;
  • Participates in other disaster risk management activities that the organization may elect to be involved in; and
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must at least possess High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma/Certificate or attended at least 1 year tertiary education;
  • Able to drive motorcycles and 4x4 vehicles, with professional license #1 and #2;
  • At least 2 years working experience in the related field, especially in the non-profit context;
  • NBI clearance;
  • Basic navigational knowledge of Metro Manila area, with experience in using online maps/navigation applications;
  • Mechanic knowledge and ability to maintain vehicles in good working condition;
  • Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance;
  • Familiarity in bank and government processes and policies;
  • Demonstrate accuracy in filling out paperwork;
  • Ability to meet and interact with public and employees with tact, courtesy and discretion;
  • Resourceful, adaptable and able to plan, balance and cope with multiple and competing priorities;
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising the quality of work;
  • Can work independently without constant supervision and can work as well with team;
  • Has the readiness and open-mindedness to work in a dynamic environment;
  • Willingness to work in emergency situations and during odd hours, weekends and holidays when required;
  • Passionate about contributing to poverty alleviation and helping vulnerable communities.
