Job Description
- Build a thorough understanding of the Advertising sales and planning business.
- Gain a strong understanding of the company's advertising logs, impressions, and metrics data.
- Analyze downstream data warehouse and reporting requirements and determine appropriate data sources to use and best way to model the mart and presentation layers.
- Be the technical product owner of an OLAP solutio supporting Advertising sales and planning team for Ads campagin and sales reporting.
- Work with business and product owners to define requirements and implement features to the existing cubes including ETL for star schema loading.
- Work across the data warehousing team to ensure QA with both design and implementation.
- Manage business relationships with users of the OLAP product.
- Work with technical and non-technical owners of the source systems to ensure correct understanding of the data.
- Contribute to the team's data quality initiatives, system stability, and best practices around implementation, testing, and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Essential:
- 3-6 years overall experience.
- Strong SQL to write ETL scripts/jobs.
- Data Modeling (Kimball, Inmon).
- Strong working experience in Microsoft Multidimensional and Tabular OLAP (with MDX and DAX) using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Experience with big datasets i.e. millions/billions of rows.
Desirable:
- Experience of Advertisement systems/data i.e. Google DFP, DT, DSM, Krux etc. (preferable)
- Experience with reporting and visualisation tools e.g. Chartio, Tableu (optional).
- Media sector experience (optional).
- Java/Python programming (optional).
