Job Description
- Provides for timely and cost-effective procurement or subcontract administration of required fixed assets, parts, tooling, and materials and/or services according to technical, quality or quantity specifications.
- Includes analysis of purchasing needs, including analysis of costs and performance.
- Negotiates terms of purchase with vendor.
- Develops and administers a program for vendor selection and relations.
- Responsible for supplier qualifications and standards of quality. Supervises negotiations and administration of purchasing contracts.
- Drives strategic purchasing for a specific commodity or item, and ensures implementation of a world class supplier base.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 8 years experience in procurement
- At least 4 years in management
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
