Job Description
Will be responsible for procuring the material requirements of the plants and/or projects and/or other existing facilities of the Hedcor group at the most economical cost; and ensures the timely, safe, and expeditious delivery of materials to the site. He/ she will also be responsible for receiving, storing, monitoring, issuing of all items (assets, stocks and non-stocks).
1. On-time delivery (OTD) of purchases, ensuring no quality issues and no downtime, and acquired at optimum cost. Accountability will be as follows:
c) General Hardware
d) Electrical, Mechanical & Instrumentation Items
g) IT Equipment
i) Vehicle Maintenance items and services
2. Concerns with day-by-day purchases; all price canvassing and generated purchase orders are endorsed to the approving authorities within the prescribed lead-time.
3. Reviews/scrutinizes the PR for completeness and correctness of pertinent information. Immediately coordinates with user if there's a clarification or problem with the PR. If PR is in order, performs bidding immediately and ensures only qualified suppliers are invited.
4. Conducts negotiation when the opportunity presents itself and during situations when cost is not the primary reason for award.
5. Ensures award is always to the best interest of the company (combination of optimal cost, best quality, and on-time-delivery). Ensures POs are properly transmitted, acknowledged, and documented.
6. Ensures that all purchasing transactions are in accordance with Purchasing's policies & procedures.
7. Closely monitors pending POs and ensures timely delivery.
9. Supports all projects and regulations for safety and health standards and environmental protection. Ensures all safety stipulation as required are clearly indicated on the PO.
12. Supports any documentation & transaction audit relating to procurement activities. Practices self-audit.
13. Provides regular, prompt updates to end-users especially on urgent requirements. Shows commitment to open communication demonstrated by sharing of information, ideas and knowledge.
14. Performs both commercial and technical analysis on requirements that needs more in-depth assessment.
15. Initiates / endorses accreditation on certain commodity items that needs additional qualified suppliers.
16. Responds to price queries for budgetary activities from users.
17. Ensures only the accredited suppliers are invited and at least 3 proposals are received.
18. Ensures all deliveries are in conformance with set quality standards. Settles rejections at the soonest possible time.
19. Attends to internal customer complaints without delay.
20. Handles indent items which can be bought from online catalogs and facilitates processing of all importation documents.
22. Searches for new supply sources thereby assuring maximum opportunities for optimal cost and availability.
23. Ensures all suppliers are calibrated with the Company's billing procedure.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a Bachelor's degree holder
- With knowledge in financial, asset, and inventory management and warehousing
- Capable of multi tasking
- Preferably with related work experience
- 2 vacant positions available in La Trinidad, Benguet
