Job Description

The Technical Assistant’s responsibility is to provide technical information in order to address the specific need/requirement of the COO through analysis of information, offering a broad range of ideas and diverse perspectives, using a variety of approaches, techniques, strategies, resources and innovative thinking to find solutions to challenges and provide well documented assessments and reports. This position ensures that the COOs directives, required information/data and updates on programs/initiatives are communicated accurately and in a timely manner with the COOs direct reports and other executives, while maintaining confidentiality in sharing information.

Works closely and coordinates with the Office of the COO and all direct reports of the COOs.
Communicates directly, and on behalf of the COO for program/initiative updates and other data/info needed from direct reports and other executives.
Works closely and effectively with the COO to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the President updated.
Attends meetings where the COO is present to record minutes and ensures deliverables are recorded and tracked. Conducts research and compiles necessary data for the COO.

Minimum Qualifications

Professional: At least 2 years’ experience in technical assistant work or related field
College graduate with a degree in Business or Engineering or relevant field
Project Experience: Not required
Strong analytical and planning skills;
Good communication and presentation skills;
Excellent problem-solving skills;
