Tax Operations Supervisor  

The position will support the Manager in managing and leading the tax operations and accounting of the Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. including provision of oversight onstartups or small operating companies that may need support in the group in terms of tax operations and accounting.

Further, this position will help oversee the Parent/Holdco tax operations and accounting function and may also provide oversight/guidance to start ups on tax reportorial requirements, both local and international, selected transactional taxation, and other incidental tasks such as but not limited to tax planning, tax refund, tax audit, books of accounts compliance, deferred tax accounting and maintenance of the Tax Document Management System in coordination with AEV Tax, Advisory and Compliance Services (TACS).

The role will also provide accounting and financial reporting functions as deemed necessary

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

Tax Accounting

• Performs and manages provisioning of income taxes, both current and deferred for ARI Parent Holdco and ARI COnsolidated Financial Statements, as needed.
• Reviews selected transactional taxation on foreign transactions, forex denominated loans, equity transactions, special transactions and other projects.

Tax Compliance

• Ensures timely filing and settlement as well as submission of reports and documents in compliance with government statutory and regulatory requirements of BIR and LGUs.
• Ensures that regular updates in legislation, regulations, memorandum, directives and requirements are implemented in the accounting systems, policies, processes and procedures

Tax Management

• Monitoring of special transactions that will impact future tax reconciliation.
• Provides Accounting Manager and AVP Accounting with reports relating to tax projections and analysis needed for tax planning and decision-making

Tax Administrative Tasks

• Monitors the tax compliance of all companies handled by Renewables Group, including providing needed support on the special tax compliance requirements of ARI international and foreign-registered entities, as needed

General Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Provides support in Accounting Operations and financial reporting during month-end and year-end reviews which may or may not impact tax operations including developing audit schedules, reconciliations, and analysis

• 4 to 5 years in Tax Operations and Compliance &/or General Accounting
• Leadership Experience is an advantage, but not required
• Accounting graduate
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant(CPA) or any equivalent certification such Certified Tax Technician (CTT)
