Web Designer  

Overview

We are building a TOTALLY NEW online property in the media space.

• You will support the company in designing, editing and coming up with new layouts and UI/UX for our various online properties and new sections. Furthermore, you will work with other teams such as the tech and editorial teams in building out different aspects of the property.
• The ideal candidate will have previous experience in web design, graphics design, UI/UX and relevant fields.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Sketch, layout, design and edit internet properties and conceptualize new ideas.
• Work with tech to implement graphical UI and UX.

Required Skills/Experience

• Understand product specifications
• Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
• Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
• Work with UI designers to implement pleasing designs
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer
• Strong portfolio of design projects
• Proficient in design software (e.g. Photoshop, Sketch or related prototyping software)
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Analytical mind

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
• Background in project management and research
• Knowledge of front end programming.
• Experience working for an e-commerce / internet company.
