Account Executive  

Basic Tasks:

• Conduct sales calls and develops potential business leads.
  • Maximum of 40 accounts per week.
• Conduct continuous research on potential accounts with key emphasis on corporate accounts.
• Conduct telemarketing calls using contacts, referrals, the yellow pages, industry sources, and other business leads.
  • Minimum of 15 accounts per day when in-house.
• Assist guests and clients for ocular inspection.
  • Target of 3 accounts per week.
• Conduct and coordinate site inspections of the hotel as requested.
• Initiate or participate in sales blitzes and help organize or coordinate hotel-hosted cocktails/functions.
  • Once every quarter.
• Represent the hotel in different meetings, trade professional associations, and social events as needed.
• Conduct surveys and ocular inspections on the competition at least once a month.
• Ensure complete market and competitor knowledge of all hotels within the area.
• Assist in welcoming VIP guests upon check-in.
• Follow through on the status of existing in-house guests.
• Develop close coordination with operations to ensure execution of strategies or requests.
• Build and strengthen relationship with existing and new accounts, industry organizations and network.
• Develop new business through own network of contacts and prospecting.
• Negotiate deals and contract rates with the guidance of the Sales Manager and/or DOS.
• Ensure all negotiated contracts are signed.
  • Copies kept on file.
• Schedule meetings with sales prospects.
• Gather pertinent detailed system and market information.
• Create sales proposals and action plans for existing clients.
• Create and send insertion orders to all media as and when needed.
• Prepare and customize quality sales presentations for meetings.
• Prepare weekly minutes of the meeting and or monthly reports required or as requested.
• Attend internal or external training programs as requested or needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed or requested.

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1-2 years media, ad, or sales-related experience.
• Proficient computer skills:
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • PowerPoint
• Understanding of ad sales marketplace with industry contacts.
• Exceptional communication skills both oral and written.
