Head of Merchandiser  

SMDV is a tech-focused Venture Capital that partners with entrepreneurs building exceptional technology companies that aim to change the landscape in Indonesia and the region.

We are looking for a Head of Merchandiser. You will be responsible to lead the Merchandiser Team. Other responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the usage of digital channels (including mobile) is highly utilized.
• Supervise and planning product ranges and preparing vendor acquisition plans in conjunction with commercial teams;
• Supervising team for liaising with buyers, analysts, suppliers and distributors;
• Working closely with vendors and other department to decide how goods should be displayed on web to maximize sales;
• Forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas;
• Supervise team for maintain relations with distributors/vendors/suppliers and managing them by negotiating cost prices, agreeing timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork;
• Supervise & Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise
• Planning product ranges and preparing vendor acquisition plans in conjunction with commercial teams;
• Liaising with buyers, analysts, suppliers and distributors;
• Analysing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colours or styles) and ensuring that they reach their full potential;
• Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance;
• Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary;
• Maintain relations with distributors/vendors/suppliers and managing them by negotiating cost prices, agreeing timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork;

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, any field
• At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position in Fashion/Household/Home Appliances
• Has Experiences in Retail or E-commerce Industry
• Open minded and able to work in team
• ability to conversation in english is a must
• Self-motivated and honest
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Pivot excel
