We are a bunch of software engineers in a tech startup who are looking at ways to run a better more streamlined enterprise system that is integrated with the main product offering. As a Linux SysAd, your primary role is to manage employee access to the company assets. At Viyahe, the Linux Sysad will be able to recommend streamlined solutions to make their work more efficient and make Viyahe a secure and productive startup.

The role is responsible for the following:

• Set up and maintain computer hardware monitoring software and the servers that host it (Netdata, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Manage the company's user directory in GSuite
• Configure, develop, and provision SSO integrations between different Cloud Services to simplify access to assets
• Manage and Provision Network Access
• Maintain the office enterprise network, and video surveillance system
• In-charge of inventory-keeping, procurement, and provisioning of company assets
• Secure and surveil company assets, become the ambassador for best data security practices
• Provide desktop user support
• Set up peripherals and computer accessories (printers, scanners, etc.)

Degree in B.S. Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any other Computer or Software related Bachelor Degree accepted as well.

Minimum Skills:

• Strong english writing skills
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Bash Scripting
• Server/Computer Monitoring (Netdata, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Linux Server Administration
• Proficiency in Desktop Support, Linux and macOS
• Basic Inventory Management Skills
• Some Familiarity in Network Administration
• Familiar with Cloud Software Administration (GSuite, Slack, Trello)

Desired Skills:

• Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously, but also able to recognize when you are in over your head
• Some familiarity with new policies governing Global Digital Business Operations (GDPR, DPA of the RP)
• Strong Data and Network Security practices
