Founded in 2015 with a vision to create a more inclusive, holistic, and easily accessible insurance system, PasarPolis aims to become the bridge for the uninsured by providing various insurance protections for all levels of society members. Since its first launch as an insurance aggregator, today PasarPolis has evolved to be a leading provider of unique and affordable insurance products designed specifically for each of its ecosystem partners. Through PasarPolis’ platform, partners have access to a highly scalable AI-powered platform that facilitates easy onboarding, flexible product creation, and a claims portal. PasarPolis has demonstrated exponential policy growth since closing of its Series A round in August 2018 participated by three Indonesian biggest unicorns - Gojek, Tokopedia and Traveloka - with the number of monthly policies issued growing more than 80x ever since. The Company has successfully expanded across the region. To date, we are currently present in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and we have an R&D Center in India. In August 2020, PasarPolis completed a US$54 million Series B funding round, which is considered the largest Series B funding recorded for an insurtech firm in SEA, and potentially it is also the biggest disclosed investment round for insurtech firms in SEA. The round included participation from LeapFrog Investments, SBI Investment, Alpha JWC, Intudo Ventures, Go-Ventures and Xiaomi Ventures and will be used to support the company’s growth plan.
