The role is a major collaborator between software developers, system operators and other tech teams to run a production platform 24x5.
Prime responsibiliites are focused in data/backend engineering, continuous integration and continuous deployment in a fast changing world of software delivery.
The following are the required skills and nice to have skills in order to perform the role:
Required Skills
- Passionate about helping real customers solve real problems
- A well-organized and effective communicator of technical concepts
- Experience using version control systems such as Git (Github, Bitbucket), Subversion
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and processes
- Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions such as Heroku, or Google App Engine
- Experience in the usage and administration of Monitoring and Log Analysis systems such as Nagios, and Splunk
Nice to Have Skills
- Understanding or working experience with application container technologies like Docker
- Have familiarity in web application development using ANY of the technology stacks:
- Programming Languages such as Python, Ruby/Rails, Javascript/NodeJS, Java
- Relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- NoSQL technologies like Cassandra, MongoDB
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Prior or recent experience working as a DevOps or Systems Engineer/Administrator
- Solid knowledge and working experience in Linux Systems Administration
- Ability to work in US Pacific Hours and its business days (Tues-Sat of Manila)
- Excellent communication skills
- Technically sound, curious, and analytical thinker
- Strong experience in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
