Purchasing Assistant  

• Sourcing and screening of suppliers and service providers:
  • Sources and screens suppliers and service providers for MPG accreditation.
  • Applies for credit line from accredited suppliers and service providers.
• Procurement:
  • Receives requisitions from departments.
  • Canvasses prices from accredited suppliers and service providers.
  • Prepares purchase orders.
  • Prepares requests for payment.
• Monitoring of supplies:
  • Monitors and estimates monthly consumption of supplies.
  • Prepares report on actual monthly consumption of supplies and submits the same on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares supplies inventory and accountability cards of employees; prepares and submits the same on a regular basis.
• Monitoring and inventory of fixed assets:
  • Monitors fixed assets and its status.
  • Prepares fixed assets inventory and updates and submits reports on a regular basis.
• Other duties and responsibilities:
  • Prepares requests for payments for PLDT, GLOBE, SMART, SUN, MERALCO, and other utility related bills.
  • Organizes and systematizes files relevant to canvassing/purchasing job.
  • Performs other tasks relevant to the job as maybe assigned from time to time.

Educational Background

College graduate in any field.

Work Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in job related functions.

Skills Required:

With excellent inter-personal skills. Good in oral and written communication. Able to negotiate effectively with suppliers. Excellent computer background. With costing ability.
