Senior Network Engineer  

The candidate will be responsible for monitoring network performance and perform regular maintenance to ensure system availability and reliability in the various locations where the company operates. The role requires experience in troubleshooting and issue resolution skills. The candidate needs to perform capacity planning and trending of the network infrastructure to ensure sufficient current and future network resource utilization.

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations to ensure security compliance
• Provide Level-2 and/or 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Support the monitoring of performance, availability and security of infrastructure systems and key operational metrics
• Develop reports on performance and availability of infrastructure systems by review of service uptime, utilization and throughput
• Perform capacity planning and trending to ensure sufficient current and future network resource utilization.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Create documents on administration, installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Flexibility to work beyond working hours depending on criticality of network related issues.

• Graduate of any course, preferably IT-related courses (ECE, Computer Engineering, IT) or relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of related work experience in a network support, network engineering, implementation engineering, NOC support/engineering or network IT support role
• CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued) is preferred
• Strong technical competencies in managing routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliance, Web proxy, load balancers, IP Telephony etc
• Expert in networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS
• Excellent understanding of the OSI and/or TCP/IP model
• Good analytical skills, meticulous, energetic, resourceful, and able to work under minimum supervision
• Ability to articulate, possess strong written, documentation and effective communication skills in English.
