English Editor  

• Proofread, copyedit, and substantively edit English documents to correct errors in both content and style
• Evaluate quality of translators and other editors based on standards set by the team
• Verify validity of content by fact-checking and using standard reference sources
• Comply with strict publication standards, clients’ specifications, deadlines, and other SOPs
• Ensure adherence to different style guides, including the company's in-house style guide
• Lead and participate in the team's training on editing matters and other topics relevant to the team
• Lead and participate editing projects and perform supervisory tasks as needed
• Lead efforts in achievement of assigned KTI upon regularization
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other editors to ensure the successful completion of each project

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Background includes editing for academic or other professional purposes
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work without much supervision
• Ability to lead or co-lead editing projects and supervise relevant project members as needed
• Availability to work overtime when necessary
• A stable Internet connection and a reliable PC or laptop setup that would allow them to work from home without any issues
• People with minimum of three years of professional editing experience preferred
