Sales Representative  

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for selling Rack products and assisting customers with their product needs. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, organization skills, and a desire to reach, monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.

Responsibilities:

• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, follow leads from existing clients, and attend trade shows and conferences
• Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how specific products and services can meet these needs
• Help customers select products based on the customers' needs, product specifications, and regulations
• Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
• Answer customers' questions about prices, availability, and product uses
• Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements
• Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information
• Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their purchases and to answer any questions or concerns

• University degree in business or related field, or equivalent direct industry experience
• At least 3 years’ sales experience with good sales record
• Experience working with a trading company is a plus
• Importing/NVO/Freight forwarding or ocean carrier experience is a plus
• Generate and analyze information skillfully and accurately
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and have a strong desire to reach goals while adhering to deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other operating software
• Knowledge in Nihongo is a plus
