Accounting Assistant  

Technical Duties

• Ensures completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
• Responsible for processing all request for payments.
• Matches vendor invoices with purchase orders and/or purchase requisitions, and with evidence of receipts of goods and services.
• Ensures that required documents are present/obtained before creating payment advices.
• Monitoring and scheduling the monthly payments of the operating expenses and all applicable taxes.
• Deal with supplier accounts queries and promptly resolve issues, if any.
• Release manual check payment to authorized vendor representative and secure the corresponding Official Receipts.
• Prepares daily and monthly cash position and bank reconciliation reports.
• Identify and escalate bank transactions not reflected in the accounting system.
• Create accounting entries for the identified reconciling items
• Prepare ad hoc reports, such as cash flow projection, as needed.
• Filing of accounting records (e.g., check vouchers, deposit slips, bank statements, etc.)

• EDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Audit or equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Position is open to fresh graduates, but applicants with at least 1 year of accounting/audit experience is preferred.
• TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge in basic accounting and bookkeeping
  • Good common sense and logical thinking
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
