Systems Administrator  

Equipment Management/Setup

• Perform technology needs research and analysis.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all computer equipment, peripherals, software licenses, etc.
• Build, Install, test and update computer equipment (computers, servers, peripherals, programs, and software)

Network/Site Management

• Maintain, upgrade and ensure security of network and server infrastructure
• Manage the mobile and computer security policy
• Create and adhere to existing backup and disaster recovery plans
• Plan, implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan

Office Responsibilities

• Produce technical documentation to agreed quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or other related course
• At least 5 years of directly related experience as a network or system Administrator in a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.
• Technical expertise in network infrastructure configurations, desktops/laptops, and operating systems, including LINUX, MS-Windows and network systems including CISCO IOS, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.
• Knowledge of virtual server environments (VMware, HyperV)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008-2016
• Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
• Demonstrated ability to administer a 250+ node network including firewalls.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
• Wired and wireless security experience is an asset
• IP Telephony or VoIP routing experience is an asset
• Excellent English oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are a must
