Full Stack Developer | Ruby on Rails  

• Aid in the architecture and development of a web-based enterprise application, enabling our staff to manage data on a large scale
• Create search API infrastructure to access big data across a number of different mediums, including mobile and desktop
• Work with the latest open-source technologies - applied to serious business problems with multi-million dollar impact
• Demonstrate to the world that Ruby on Rails is enterprise ready - not just for social networks

Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Fluent English, strong in verbal and written communication skills
• Significant knowledge and experience with BDD
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools including Jenkins or similar
• Experience with Containerisation using Docker or similar
• Experience in task runners such as Gulp / Grunt

Back End:

• 2+ years of experience developing in Ruby on Rails
• Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, and Elasticsearch
• Experience in the design and development of true multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service offerings
• Solid understanding of the principles of RESTFul Web Services, SOAs and Model-View-Controllers (MVC)
• Demonstrate effective application of service-based, object-based and component-based modeling
• Good understanding of key Internet technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SMTP, etc.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and passion for ensuring a consistent and well-tested solution throughout the full stack experience with automated testing tools highly regarded.

Front End:

• Experienced with JavaScript UI Frameworks and understanding of UI components
• Strong knowledge of Ajax implementation, DOM scripting and event handling
• Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
