Copywriter  

The Copywriter is responsible for the linguistic content of adverts. He/she works across a range of media and formats, interpreting account briefs to compose content such as slogans, catchphrases, scripts, and other copy for communication materials. Other responsibilities are as follows:

• Meet with Account Executives to discuss the clients' requirements and core messages and target audience.
• Be familiar with the product, target audience, and competitor activities in the market.
• Brainstorm ideas and concepts for the visual and words with other members of the creative team.
• Produce original, clear, and credible ideas, messages, scripts, and present these to clients and colleagues
• Proofread copy to check spelling and grammar.
• Present initial ideas to the creative director, to be developed into workable concepts.
• Write various copy options, which may be presented to the clients.
• Review progress and modify copy until the client is satisfied.

• Good general knowledge and an awareness of popular culture.
• Research skills.

• Ability to express a message clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
