Sustainable Community Development Manager for Environment Non Profit  

The opportunity:

As our Sustainable Community Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various materials recovery facilities and lead our flagship project. Working with our Field Coordinator, your role is to engage and build relationships with various independent feedstock aggregators to source post-consumer plastic in communities nationwide.

• Consult with clients to understand their present challenges and commitments.
• Conduct research and feasibility studies to provide recommendations on solutions and impact calculations.
• Work with the Environment Campaign Manager and Field Coordinators in managing sourcing communities, etc.

HOPEX ENVIRONMENT GROUP INC. (Plastic Credit Exchange or PCEx) is a non-profit organization that works with sustainability-conscious businesses to responsibly offset their plastic footprint and prevent plastic waste from polluting our landfills and oceans.

PCEx has built a wide network of collaborators that recover, co-process, and recycle plastic waste, and continuously seeks out the most environmentally sound solutions to plastic waste reduction.

PCEx takes plastic offset pledges from companies and aggregates an equivalent amount of post-consumer plastic, transports it to co-processors and recyclers, and provides verification and certification of plastic offsets with full transparency.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a self-starter, relatable and environmentally savvy individuals who is well-equipped to develop and improve our plastic offset business.

• Candidates must have completed Environmental Management, Chemical Engineering, or any related courses
• Preferably a certified Pollution Control Officer of DENR
• Must have experience in Community Engagement, street-smart and can relate to people on the field.
• Must be amenable to do field work in various landfills, and materials recovery facilities
